James New Job!

James has a new job indeed!

So things have been pretty good overall he was only out of work almost 2 months. So overall not to bad. He had a lot of weeks with interviews and a few with nothing. He had some places that was pretty honest with him and told him he was 1 of like 100+ applicants! The job market is pretty bad right now. So many people out of work and very little jobs. Many of the jobs he applied for he was knowingly over qualified for. That was the case for this position that he is currently in now. However we told each other he would take a lesser paying job and down a few levels of his experience if we found the right company. We think we did.

With out going into to much details its in Auburn, just a 10 minute drive, its an Apartment Complex with about 150 apartments and he is a Maintenance Tech/Assistant to the Maintenance Super. So far its a great little company, we really think he made a good choice. We are hoping for quick advancement in the company as he did take less than we wanted on his hourly salary. But in the end the fact the company was a good honest company that really likes to promote within was what won him over ultimately.

He started last week and it was great to see him excited and back at work. It was nice to enjoy some time while he was home with the boys and in between looking for a job we spent a lot of quality family time together. But it was also nice to get back on a routine and him back to work.
